T Target was invented by Jerry after he hired a private coach to help his daughter, Skyleigh, learn how to pitch in softball. During one lesson, Jerry observed the coach placing a traffic cone on home plate with a soccer ball balanced on top to serve as a visual target.
Each time the cone or soccer ball was struck, the drill had to stop so the coach could retrieve the ball and reset the setup. These constant interruptions slowed the session and took away valuable coaching time. As Jerry watched the process, he found himself thinking, how can a coach truly teach and observe proper mechanics when they are standing at home plate while my daughter is on the pitching mound?
Jerry knew there had to be a better way.
That moment led Jerry to create T Target. He developed a way to securely mount and hold a ball on top of a batting tee so that when the ball is struck, it stays in place. This allows pitching and throwing drills to continue without interruption and gives coaches the freedom to position themselves where instruction is most effective.
